We are looking for 60 students in Lafayette Parish, currently in the 8th – 11th grade, to go to Washington, DC for the 60th Anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream Speech.”

Trip Information:

  • Roundtrip Flight from Louisiana to Washington, DC is included
  • Hotel Stay is included
  • 2 Meals per day are included
  • Snacks are included
  • Students can earn enough to pay for their trip through the Summer Youth Work Experience Program with Acadiana Workforce Solutions (students can earn up to $2,800 for the summer)
  • Total Cost per person: $800
  • Students are asked to pay for half of their trip ($400 per person)
  • Scholarships are being raised to cover the other half of the trip ($400 per person)
